Tail Expansion
It is a program created to define the coordinate of the point needed in situations such as adding a receiver point for 2D seismic study, adding source points, expanding the full fold area, etc. Although it basically works on the angle and coordinate of 2 points, the coordinate of the required point can also be found with a single point and angle value.
As a priority, it should be selected whether the calculation will be made with the 2nd coordinate or the angle. The example below shows the calculation over 2 different coordinate points.
It is seen that the new coordinates created in the black area correspond exactly with the coordinates of the points whose accuracy is known. The angle and length of the first line (the distance of the two entered points) are shown on the left side of the result section, and the angle and distance between the 2 new coordinates created on the right side.
After 2 different coordinates are entered into the program, the calculation can be made either by entering the number and range of the receiver, or by simply entering the distance.
By pressing the "Graphic " button, the points entered and the new points created can be displayed on the graphic. Thus, the accuracy of the points can be checked.
* The first point entered into the program must be at a more NORTH compared to the other point.
Coordinate of the desired point can be found by entering the starting point and angle into the program. When the "Base on a given angle" option is selected, the 2nd coordinate panel and the Result panel will be closed automatically.
